9 weeks!

Sooooo, the news is out!!  Whew, I made the announcement today that I am pregnant. :)

We also had our first appointment today.  We decided to choose the midwife for our prental care.  We met her today and are very excited about our decision.  She is very nice and sounds like she will do anything she can to work with us and make this pregnancy what we want it to be.  She even tried to find the baby's heartbeat today, even though she thought it would be too early.  She wasn't able to find it, but she said everything else looks like it is going fine.  She doesn't have any concerns whatsoever that there is anything out of the ordinary going on with the baby.  As many of you know, I have been getting a little paranoid lately about the baby and its health and growth.  It was definitely nice to get the reassurance from a professional that I'm doing everything right and things are perfect.  We are supposed to be having appointments with her every month now until the third trimester.  She is letting us come back in 3 weeks for our next appointment, though, because I will be 12 weeks then and that is when we should be able to hear the baby's heartbeat.  She wanted us to be able to hear it as soon as we could. :)
